Finely dice the vegetables and put in a bowl.
Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Fry the minced meat, stirring occasionally until it starts to brown.
Add the vegetables and fry until the onions turn translucent.
Stir in the tomato paste and red wine and let simmer until reduced to half.
Add the vegetable broth and spices.
