Finely chop the garlic.
Finely chop the onion and place in a bowl alongside the breadcrumbs, cheese and minced meat.
Season with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly and form golf ball-sized balls.
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan, add the meatballs and fry until golden brown from all sides.
Add the garlic all ingredients mentioned below into the pan and let simmer for approx. 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
Fill the dinner rolls with the meatballs and sauce, sprinkle with the cheese and bake for 2-3 minutes in the oven until the cheese has melted.
